HPCSA Annual Fees and Renewals 2024/25

Having an active registration with the Health Professions Council of South Africa (HPCSA) is a pre-requisite for all practitioners working in South Africa - and with us. The 2024/25 Annual Fees are due and payable on or before 01 April 2024.

The HPCSA annual fees are used to cover the costs of regulating healthcare professionals in South Africa, including the management of their registration, accreditation, and continuing professional development. Practitioners are reminded that registration with the HPCSA is a pre-requisite for professional practice in terms of the Health Professions Act No. 56 of 1974.

NB: Registered health practitioners who have not paid their annual fees by 01 April of a particular year, will be suspended from the register any time from three months of the due date of 01 April.

Compliance Passport: Keeping you cleared to work

Please ensure that you have completed payment for your 2024/25 HPCSA fees, and upload a copy of your registration card / certificate in Staffshift or send a photo to us via WhatsApp chat 0600 702 327.

Staffshift gives you guidance on the compliance processes, please login to your profile, click “Compliance Passport” and follow the prompts. Here’s how the Compliance Passport works. Without a complete Compliance Passport, we will not place you on shifts, so please pay special attention to the requirements.

Use the HPCSA Online Portal to Pay Your Annual Fees and Manage Your Profile

The HPCSA launched a Practitioner Online Portal that enables practitioners to renew their annual fees and manage their registration more conveniently.

The platform enables practitioners to check their registration status,  access statements and invoices, download your HPCSA registration certificate or card, applications for voluntary erasure, exemptions and updating of contact details. Should you encounter challenges using the portal please contact their call centre on 012 338 9300/1.
